EDC Hatchet Belt Pouch

Guy I build a lot of stuff for came to me with this EDC idea.  With camping/wilderness survival in mind, he trimmed down these hatchet heads.  Weighing 12 ounces each, they are light enough to EDC or pack.  When needed, find a suitable branch to use as a handle and whittle to fit the hole, and install a wedge.  Or split the end and use the screw holes to fix in place for the other style.  Having a real, albeit small, sharp, hatchet will be as huge asset in a survival situation.  

The leather pouch is set up for horizontal belt wear.  Made of very stout 12 oz Hermann Oak Bridal Leather with snap closure and a welt in the bottom to protect from the sharp edge.  Wear it, or throw it in your bug-out-bag until needed.
